Well after John had the boys for all last week and that busy one they had, the first day was spent catching up on rest. They got a Uber from Sky Harbor to the house since I'm working from home now, and for next week, I'm going to have them work on some drawings for my designs I'm working. I haven't done any for the company since coming over from the other group so I'm learning and I expect they will learn too so I can have them do more next time I get their services, if there is one of course. 😊 Anyway, if we have time, I'll keep them cool as I can, but we need to haul a bunch of dirt to the back yard for a planter we did in spring. I know it's hot out so I'll not work them in the heat, and they will have plenty of drink to keep them hydrated. I also need to finish making my bird repeller rotating mirrors to keep the bird stuff off the back patio, it won't hurt them, it's just supposed to annoy them so they don't stop at the house. After that, it should be smooth sailing back to the airport and off to the next luck winner... That's the plan and we all know plans can go bad and plan B may be needed, for that, they can help me figure out just what plan B is!

Later...

Subject: [External] [TN] Element Quiz Answer

The Element Quiz winner gets the services of our outstanding/amazing gnomes Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week (they have had their vaccination shots and can follow any covid-19 protocols the winner decides).

The Question:

What was the last natural element discovered? No cheating by using your electronic resources!

The Answer:

The element is Francium (Fr)! Francium was the last natural element to be identified in 1939. The Periodic table gave clues that the element had to exist and it was called eka-cesium by Dimitri Mendeleev (the father of the Periodic Table). Fr is the only element below uranium with a half-life of less than 30 minutes. The Earth contains about 2x10-18 ppm of Fr, which is about 15 grams!

FEQAB had to review Scott Decker's submission as it seemed to imply that he may have used electronic assistance - a tad difficult to follow his logic path. Ultimately FEQAB validated Scott's response.

The winner of the Quiz is Scott Decker, Collins Aerospace and will get the assistance of the boys for the week. Please let us know what task you have for them.

Winners:

Week 1: Bhanu Sood, NASA

Week 2: Eddie Hofer, Collins Aerospace

Week 3: John Maxwell

Week 4: Scott Decker, Collins Aerospace

Week 5: ???
