Hi Joe,

We use them quite a bit for standing off axial parts, and there's a few
boards that we stand off crystals, oscillators, and can transistors too.

We don't use the effervescent type, never have had a problem washing the
normal ones away. We clean in an Electrovert H-500 inline cleaner using
straight DI water, and we have an Electrovert MCS-1000 that we use Kyzen XJN
in. Both machines clean the spacers just fine, with no ill effects with
either machine.

We do quite a bit of conformal coating (Acrylic and Urethane), and never have
had an issue because of the spacers...

Hope this helps,

-Steve Gregory-
