Bev - As a previous owner of all 3 instruments , I can state that If I could buy only one, it would be a DSC.
> TMA too specific to CTE and somewhat more dependent on sample dimensions. Probes are pricey and susceptible to breakage.
> DMA too academic and esoteric . Hard to convince "non-techies" of what the data truly means.

As an FYI that you may already be aware of,... there is an IPC document which has a pretty good appendix briefly describing all 3 instruments, but alas I always forget which one. Hopefully some else will provide that bit of detail.

If you had the choice of getting ONE of:
1) TMA
2) DMA
3) DSC
And $ was not an issue, which would you chose and WHY? Please, no "it depends" answers and no, you can't throw TGA into the mix.
