Jim,

Vapor degreasing combined with brushing using a precision cleaning solvent
is the traditional method. We used CFC113 at one time with great success,
but since the banning of that solvent we have used Perflouro solvents in our
ultra-clean processes. We also have tested Ensolve, Asahi Glass Asahiklin
AK 255, 3M Novec (HFE-based fluids)and DuPont Vertrel with limited success.
There are also other chemistries available depending on the cleaning method
you choose. Each one has it's pro's and con's with related safety and health
issues. I recommend you visit the referenced site for detailed info on
solvents & cleaning methods to help make the final decision.
