I'm not sure if they have separate ratings just for laminates, but when
conformal coatings are tested - 'Coatings for Use on Recognized Printed
Wiring Boards (QMJU2)', the highest temperature rating when using FR-4 is
130C. This involves environmental cycling for 1000 hrs at 160C or 300 hrs
at 175C.

Re: [TN] [BULK] [TN] PWB Operating Temperatures
Underwriter's Lab's has this info for various laminate types. It is their
"MOT" values or Max operating temperature rating.

Subject: [BULK] [TN] PWB Operating Temperatures
Importance: Low
Hi All,
Can anyone tell me, or direct me to where I can find, the maximum
sustained operating temperature for a PWB fabricated with FR4.
What are some of the reliability concerns, at the assembled board level,
associated with a constant temperature of 70°C?
Thanks
Paul Reid
