I was asked what environment these assemblies were going into, and I  told
the lady that these were military assemblies. She then told me that I  should
replace them. She also said that although Coil Craft hasn't had any  reports,
but if there should be one than more crack i.e., one on each side of  the part,
the possibility exists that the case could fall off. We're advising  our
customer of this issue since we have shipped product to them.

Was  the crack merely cosmetic or is there potential for wire damage with the
 excess potting compound?
