Happy Monday All!
I have an engineer from our Joplin plant that's looking for some Phenolic
material to machine a small circular cap out of. What he needs is a small
billet
the of material, he's already got a local machine shop to do the machining
for him.
Here's the note as it reads from the drawing:
"The material shall be a natural colored laminate composed of Type VIII,
VIIIA or VIII B glass cloth in accordance with Mil-C-9084, Class 4, impregnated
with phenolic resin in accordance with Mil-R-9299.
There are some other notes discussing the cure and post of the material. If
you find someone interested, I will send them the drawing."
It's going to be a very small amount of the material...I'll post the size of
the billet later. I tried to call the engineer a few minutes ago and find out
the size, but he's out at lunch.
If anybody can help, it sure would be appreciated.
