Steve,

Another thing you may want to do is pull the manf. spec on your LED.
Usually, one of the leads is longer/shorter than the other to help
specify the
polarity. I have put this information as a detail on the assembly
drawing, which
helps before the LED is installed in the board.

Of course this indication is removed during lead trimming.
