I know this is going to rub a few people the wrong way and it will for
eberhard for me to be taken seriously again, given my abrasive nature, but
masking my inhibitions I will tell about a process I have used.
Take an electric erasure with a gray number 4 ink erasure in it and using an
erasure shield match the opening in the shield to the area you want to
remove the mask. With technique you can just remove the mask and leave the
area shiny that you want to solder. A little IPA to clean the area, the
right flux of choice and you have a good solder connection.
Logic will dictate your process, but it is very quick and easy. We have went
through Qual test with this.

Short of very expensive laser strip processes a razor knive and lots-o-labor
are about the only way...chemicals and other type methods are only messy and
cause other problems...
