Thanks for your comments.

We have certainly tried conformal coating with good measure of success. The
only drawback was difficult rework and re-application. For high voltage
circuits we don't specify any solder mask nor conformal coating. For good
adhesion, we plasma etch board and traces and encapsulate with RTV whole
assembly. That seems to work O.K. but it is costly and labor intensive
approach.
I was hoping there is a new technology / materials that we were not aware
of, that would make the whole process easier and/or less costly.
