Hi Pat!
As someone said awhile back when a question similar to this appeared
on TechNet - x-outs should be the exception and not the norm! If I was
seeing a constant stream of x-outs regardless of the number of pwbs
per panel, I would be concern. If the pwb is a complicated fabrication
for the pwb vendor or the pwb vendor has communicated that because of
design feature xyz they expect to have some x-outs then I would look
at the situation differently but if the pwb is nothing out of the
ordinary then there is a problem. Good Luck.

I was wondering what policies others have regarding accepting x-outs on
multiple board arrays. We currently allow 50%, with the intent being we
would use a two up array with one x-out, but don't want to see 10 x-outs on
a 20 up array. We are contemplating going to something different, say 5%
or 1, whichever is greater. Or possibly no x-outs, but I'm concerned about
the cost ramifications of this (cost is a function of yield, right?). I
would appreciate any input from both fabricators and assemblers.
