     Hi Sanjay-

Commercial grades of nitrogen have data sheets which lists the types
and amounts of contaminates - water is included in that list. The more
water you have in your nitrogen, the more water the plastic parts can
absorb. The decision to use one grade of N2 over another grade will
depend on how long you intend to leave the parts in storage and how
moisture sensitive the parts will be. The same decision goes for
buying or generating your own nitrogen - your usage rate will dictate
which option is cheaper. Good Luck.

Subject: GEN: Nitrogen quality for storage cabinets...

Dear Technetters:

This is a question directed to people who use
storage cabinets hooked up to a nitrogen source
to store moisture sensitive devices (or even
boards).

1. I would like to know if any grade of Nitrogen
(in purity) is ok for the above purpose. I am
not actually sure about the different grades of
nitrogen, but I am guessing that the cheapest
one would be ok too. Is that correct?

2. Also, I would like to know, in your experience,
which is cheaper - buying nitrogen or investing
in nitrogen generator for the above purpose.
I am sure that the usage and the quantity of
nitrogen is the big factor in this, but still I would
    like to get your opinion....

Thank you
