I don't use a gang programmer but I don't see a programming several parts at once fixes parts that don't program correctly. I have EMP-20, EMP-30 and an old ALLPRO. I have had parts that would not program. I think what he means is that if the parts are good, that they will all program. Since the parts are in parallel and will have the same voltages applied they will all program or all not. This is the way it should happen. I suppose it is possible that if one of the parts had a problem that affected voltage to near the comp. thresholds that some might program and not others. I did have some FPGA's that would not program because the programmer could not provide adequate current. This same part had programmed before and since so it was just a variation in the parts themselves. We did get them to prog. by supplying vcc from a separate power supply.

Subject: [TN] Gang programming

I have a supplier telling me that with gang device programming it is virtually impossible to have one or two not program correctly. I think it's a load of bull, what do you think?
