Pete,

        The requirement is intended to apply to each material.   In 
IPC-6011, paragraph, 4.4.1, it is clear that any failure applies not only 
to the lot that was tested, but all lots of the same material built from 
the time period covered by the failure until corrective action has been 
accomplished.

        It would be more clear if the paragraph titles were more 
consistent (6011:  Paragraph 4.4 is titled  Reliability Test and 
Inspection;  6012:  paragraph 4.3 is titled  Quality Conformance Testing). 
  Its more clear from the contents of the paragraphs that they cover the 
same testing.

[IPC-600-6012] Quality Conformance Testing IPC-6012 Para. 4.3






All:

IPC 6012 has a requirement for  monthly conformance testing but it does
not state what material should be tested - 

Under the military specifications
(MIL-P-55110/MIL-PRF-31032/MIL-P-50884) a manufacture running both
polyimide and epoxy resins would be required to submit samples of both
material types each month unless the requirement is tailored (31032
allows tailoring).

What is the groups opinion? Should this be addressed in some manner - or
is it addressed and I'm missing it?
