It is always a good idea to let your fabricator add teardrops (or add them yourself)
Another thing that it helps with is the impedance mismatch between the smaller trace and larger pad it enters.
The shape of the teardrop (length / width) is important to optimize for electrical performance as well as manufacturability.

Good morning,

 

Is anyone out there being asked by your fabrication shops to
add teardrops to all round pads, or just pads where the minimum annular ring is
less than .5mm?
