Ok. I'm extremely under-educated and ignorant. I need help. Imagine a 1206
resistor drawn per IPC-782 and inspected per IPC-A-610B, class 2. If I'm
interpreting all this correctly, the resistor can sit anywhere inside a
4.4mm x 3.55mm box and be acceptable.
So if I put 1206 resistors closer together than 3.55mm the parts can touch,
worst case, per class 2. Does this mean that to design for IPC-A-610B,
class 2, you have to space 1206 resistors more than 3.55mm apart? That's a
lot of space! Can anyone enlighten me quickly?

Thanks,
-Chris-
