Jim: I have had a long time situation with one of my board suppliers for
this condition. At first and then for a long time I accepted the repairs
IAW IPC-7721. However the risk of their poor process control caught up
with me. I began receiving repaired boards with open traces on the same
board with repaired traces. The actual trace repair reliability was not
the issue. It was the condition of the rest of the board. I did not want
to be suspicious of repaired boards and I no longer use them as a vendor.
I would take note of how many boards and how often each shipment has this
condition. Call me if you want to.

Hi all,

I received a board that looks like the board house scratched the board
and
broke a trace.  They made a repair and applied a clear and green mask
over
the repair.  My question is how reliable is the repair?  What are the
possibilities the trace can be lifted over time?
The board tested ok as far a continuity goes.  Any input would be greatly
appreciated.

P.S.
The boards is an adapter board that is used for signal transfer.
