I have used a Dow Corning OS-XXX product to strip silicone coating from
tooling. They had an azeotropic mix with alcohol that evaporated in seconds.
5 minutes later, I could coat the tooling in acrylic (I tried it to qualify
the cleaner, not used in production) with no problems.

Try using one of these fluids.

You may also see if the supplier can use an organic machining oil.

Can anyone suggest methods of cleaning cast aluminum plates of silicone
residue (from a silicone-based machining oil)?  These plates must be clean
