     Is anyone else having problems with the Jedec planarity standard of
     +/- 4 mils for fine pitch parts?

     The problem we have is that the spec of +/- 4 mils means that one can
     have an 8 mil planarity problem. If we have the paste thick enough to
     compensate, we get shorts.

     Is anyone working on tightening the spec?

     If any component guys are out there, what are your thoughts?
