Hi,
I would like to thank everyone who replied to my email on Veribest
to Autocad font translation. The winning solution goes "down under"
to Dale Rebgetz.
Dale's solution is to modify the the Microstation dwgfont.tbl file
located in the Ustation\tables\dwg directory. Add a line with the
name of the corresponding font in Autocad (in this case DRILL) and the
Veribest font numbert (120).
This creates a text style in Autocad named DRILL with a font named
DRILL.SHX. I've created a font called in DRILL.SHX with the drill
symbols in it and it works smoothly.
Using this method of drill symbol extraction cuts file sizes
dramatically (less than a quarter) compared to an "exploded"
extraction.
Thanks again to all respondees and especially Dale.
