Clint,
You may like to try DrillToGerber, a utility to convert drill files to gerber format. It has a tool table in which you assign D-Codes to your drill sizes. Then, you can plot drill drawings using whatever shapes you have assigned to the D-Codes. It is available from the software download link off of DynaCad Design Services web page, http://www.aracnet.com/~dynacad. Some assitional features are:
1. Convert Excellon, GE550, and Sieb & Meyer NC drill files to gerber format.
        A. Supports the following input format options:
                a. Zero Suppression (Leading, Trailing, None)
                b. Mode (Absolute, Relative)
                c. Units (English, Metric)
        B. Supports the following output format options:
                a. Type (RS-274d, RS-274x, Fire 9xxx)
2. Visually check/compare drill data.
3. Create a composit with signal layers to generate "TRUE" donuts.
4. Easily create step-and-repeat images of drill data.
5. Manipulate/edit drill data as easily as Gerber data.

DrillToGerber has an easy-to-use graphical user interface.

Subject: [DC] Drill Drawing

I have a little problem, perhaps someone could help to steer me in the right
direction. I have a bunch of old designs (Gerber and Excellon Drill files) that
I need to create a drill drawing for. I need to show the quantity, size,
plating requirements and a unique symbol or letter for each occurrence (a
typical drill drawing without the dimension). The only files I have to create
this from is the Excellon drill file. I have looked at CAM350 and I can reverse
engineer a drill drawing with that but it takes about 5-10 minutes and I would
need to train others how to do it. Besides the fact that buying CAM350 to
create drill drawings is like buying a tractor to make a flower garden. Is
there software that can do this and only this?

Thanks for any help!
