If you were going to set up a new PCB Design Service from scratch, what
system would you buy and why?
The system must have schematic capture, auto-route, auto-place with manual
override.
DRC at all stages of the physical process.
SMT, Top & Bottom, output usable for Pick and Place programming, Solder
stencil, glue stencil.
Data extract, back annotation, BOM generation to feed into master database
system.
Ability to panelize arrays.
On-grid, off-grid abilities.
Good archiving and retrieval capabilities.
Create assembly drawings......................
In other words, a full blown system
