You did not specify how many layers your flex is.  To do this without
adding any cost is going to be a very good trick.  If you know what your
traces should be carrying for power then you may be able to cut down the
width of your traces.  If you are in a bottle neck situation,  look at
going to a heavier copper weight. Like going from 1oz to 2 oz.  Your
crossectional area of the circuit traces is what you should be concerned
about, as long as you have enough copper to carry your signals with any
expected temperture rise.  If you had more info I could offer more
