We have been asked what the commercial standards or specifications are for
the use of jumpers or connector cuts are in the production of PWBAs. We
have already looked at ANSI/J-STD-001B(nothing except for terminal
connections), IPC-A-610B (Jumpers), ANSI/IPC-R-700C(Jumpers and Deleting
Surface Connectors). Any other suggestions or words of advice in these days
of "acquisition reform"? What is acceptable these days where we find
procurement of "off-the-shelf" PWBAs with customizing (jumpers, cuts, racing
stripes, etc.) so they will perform tthe job. By the way, Class 3 electronics.
