You might look into one of the hot-air SMD rework stations for your single SMD
component installation.  If I were you, i'd check out the CHIPMASTER from
A.P.E. South, Key Largo, Fla. (305)-451-4722 for the nearest sales rep for a
demo. (see an ad in ADVANCED PACKAGING magazine, Jan/Feb 1996, page 31).  The
unit appears to be self contained with programmable profiles and will also
handle BGAs (if you get into them down the road).

We are using thru' hole pcb's with one surface mount component.  It is a 132
pin, fine pitch square package.  This component is put on the board by a
contractor.

Is there a system available in the market that can be used for low volume
(about 200 a day) soldering of SMC and is also capable of doing SMC rework?
