LOOKING FOR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING SERVICES REGARDING AN ATI
DRILLER/ROUTER. THE UNIT WAS BUILT IN 1976 AND IS MODEL #400. IT HAS 4
SPINDLES AND WE TYPICALLY DEDICATE 3 SPINDLES FOR DRILLING AND 1 FOR ROUTING.
THE UNIT HAS AN ANORAD I PROCESS CONTROLLER MODEL 567, SERIAL #3.
1. PROVIDE A SUPPLY OF USABLE X,Y,Z AXIS BOARDS AND WESTAMP BOARDS
FOR THE UNIT.
2. PROVIDE THE BACK ENGINEERING OF THE EXISTING X,Y,Z AXIS BOARDS AND
WESTAMP BOARDS TO ALLOW FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF SPARES.
3. INSTALL A MORE RELIABLE CNC CONTROLLER.
4. PROVIDE INFO REGARDING ANY USED 4 SPINDLE DRILLER WHICH COULD BE
CONVERTED TO DRILLER/ROUTER STATUS WHICH OPERATES WITH FLOPPY
DISK/PAPER TAPE COMBO STORAGE MEDIUM. (OUR DESIRE IS TO DRILL OR ROUTE
ON THE SAME 4 SPINDLES)
5. PROVIDE INFO REGARDING ANY USED 4 SPINDLE DRILLER/ROUTER WHICH
OPERATES ON A FLOPPY DISK/PAPER TAPE COMBO STORAGE MEDIUM.

WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS AND ARE ATTEMPTING TO REMEDY
THEM:

A. THE PROCESS CONTROLLER INTERMITTENTLY LOSES THE PROGRAM IN MID
PROCESS. WE HAVE TO REREAD TAPE AND RESTART.
B. THE UNIT INTERMITTENTLY LOSES POWER WHEN IT GOES FOR TOOL CHANGE
AND GO TO THE HOME POSITION.
C. THE UNIT INTERMITTENTLY TAKES OFF IN EITHER THE X OR Y AXIS IN THE
MIDDLE OF THE PROGRAM AND GOES TO LIMIT.
D. THE UNIT INTERMITTENTLY WILL NOT HOLD IN THE READY POSITION. IT
WILL FLICKER BETWEEN "READY" AND "MOVE".
E. THE CONTROL SCREEN INTERMITTENTLY GOES WAVY AND OUT OF FOCUS. AT
TIMES THIS HAS CAUSED FLUCTUATIONS IN THE X AND Y AXIS, WHILE AT
OTHER TIMES IT HAS HAD NO OPERATIONAL EFFECT.
F. THE UNIT'S TAPE READER LIGHT EXHIBITS FLUCTUATIONS IN
INTENSITY EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE VERIFIED THE CORRECT
VOLTAGE.
