Subject: (U) IEC 950 standards
Does anyone familiar with IEC 950 section 2.9.4?
(IEC 950 is the standard recognized by various safety agencies through
out the World)
This section is regarding reinforced insulation between multi-layer
printed circuit boards.
Due to contraints in this section,
we had to perform 720 hours of thermo-chamber test of individual boards
by the vendors.(different vendors, re-test)
Also, we had to specify what kind of pre-pregs and core materials have
been used for each different part numbers.
Would anyone help me out to avoid the long termo-chamber testing,
and specifing pre-preg and core materials?
What the different agencies are worried about is that
not all the vendors go through the same process. (which I agree)
But I believe they all go through very similar processes.
Anyway, if anyone is familar with IEC950, please help me out.
Thank you.
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!... Simon says
