Dear Colleagues, Friends and Scholars------ not to suggest mutual exclusivity!!
My task ----- if an enjoyable action can be a task ---- is to present the
history of PWB laminates at an IPC session in Providence in October.
My involvment goes back to 1956 with the Mica Corp--- which is now both part of
history and history itself ----- but deals primarily with glass-based laminates.
I'm familiar with most of the claims and counter-claims for "firsts" in epoxy
resin/glass base (and some major*applications) but not familiar at all with the
early players on the paper base side. I remember the laminators from Delaware
Gulch, most of whom started in paper-base. I invite your input with players and
approx dates you feel worthy of mention ---- and any incidents equally worthy.
To avoid "giving away the show" ----- pls contact me directly, not thru the net
---- otherwise the more astute amongst us will glean all there is to glean and
pass up the opportunity to join the fun in Providence. (I believe it's a Monday
morning session. PCB's, Processing and Interconnect History will also be
covered by fellow-dinosaurs. Either I wasm't told who or I forgot!!!)
My tele nbr is 714-898-8422 My fax nbr is 310-431-1741
Look forward to seeing you in Providence---------
Thanx and best regards
Bernie Kessler
