to save few pennies, you can bake your desiccant if you buy large  
"blue" tablet type - it turn pink when it need bake (you still need  
paper indicator).  The bake usually break down to smaller parts - you  
better buy large to start with, after 2 or 3 bake, you still got  
reasonable size.  you bake it at 110 C for few days - over long  
weekend for me usually.  Since you use it for cross section sample  
storage, no issue with ESD damage, etc.etc.
IMHO. (yes, I am cheap).
