In one of our more esoteric recent PCB designs we've created a bare FR-4 PCB with no solder mask, nor silkscreen, that's fixed to another PCB that has conventional epoxy solder mask and silkscreens using 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 468MP.

The end use is to have a permanent fixing that's very difficult to remove.

You've probably guessed by now that under some circumstances the scientist who's developing this product needs to be remove it! He's been complaining he's getting blisters trying.

I was wondering if anybody on Technet is already using and removing this tape from PCB surfaces and what solvents they may be using?

Thank you.

Regards,

James
