This is extremely active so use with care, but it will work to allow soldering even to passivated ss.

Thank you,
Jeffrey

Subject: [TN] Soldering to stainless steel

Message received from outside the Battelle network. Carefully examine it before you open any links or attachments.

Has anyone ever tried soldering to SST, like small connector posts, etc?
Is it even possible to form an IMF using standard Sn63 or SAC305, or are there other alloys that can be used at higher reflow temps? How reliable is the connection?
