Not yet, the 6012 group is likely to include an edge plating requirement in the next version of 6012.

As of now, its user defined. Meaning if you specify edge plating the edge will be plated, thats it (visual evidence of edge plating sufficient for acceptance), unless you define a minimum thickness or other acceptance requirements.
