Just a follow-up to this discussion:

I just requested a quote comparison from a local board supplier.
We have three power devices, need an array of thermal vias in those three
power pads.
ONLY the thermal vias need to be plugged (unique hole size).
So, about three square inches of board space needs to be plugged
(hole size 10 mil, qty 168)

*The difference is bare board cost was $46 !!! or 33% !!!*
