Hi everyone,

According to IPC-6013 Table 3-18, Note 2: "...for Cu weights 1/2oz and above, the process allowance reduction allows for one extra rework."

My interpretation is this refers to the full process allowance reduction, 4um. Hence, for 1/2oz Cu, if the "Minimum Final Finish after Processing" is 11.4um, this rework allowance would mean the actual minimum Cu thickness could be as low as 11.4 - 4 = 7.4um.

Is that the correct interpretation? If not, what is meant by "rework" and how much reduction does it allow?

Thanks,
Todd
