Vic,

If I am oriented correctly as to what I am looking at I think you are 
looking at the end of a broken glass fiber that is protruding through the 
resin.

I forgot to mention earlier that a Tg and uTg spread should be only about 
3 to 4 degrees C to assure very good cure, 5 to 6 is okay.

Another thing to look at is peels before and after solder float.  If peels 
increase more than 10% after solder float cure is in question.

Chuck,

   Here is a photo of an laminate anomaly I want to understand.   The 
anomaly follows the glass rod arch.   I feel that the resin did not wet to 
the glass rod.   I am open to comments/suggestion/discussions.

Vic,

What makes you think the resin and glass stick to each other?  Having 
worked in a prepreg treater I can suggest that when they make this product 
a resin pump forces resin through the glass and coats both sides.  Once 
the resin is cured it sticks to itself surrounding the glass bundles and 
holding them in place.

I have my doubts that the resin to glass has much of a bond.

One should keep in mind that the method doesn't specify a pass/fail 
number!?

   Thanks for sharing.   This shared Test Method will test for laminate 
properly cures to specifications.   Now the question is. Is there a Test 
Method for evaluating  the woven fiber glass cloth adhesion property to 
the resin system,?
