Allen,

If you place a non-plated via at each corner of the rectangle then you can
let them route and you get a large "Square Fitting" hole.

Find out what diameter routing bit they will use and do some math. You can
use a smaller hole than you might expect if you adjust the XY location to
slightly inside the rectangle.

You end up with a Sharp Edge Rectangle except that at the corners you get
a few extra mils of material removed.

Subject: [TN] Looking for Board House to help with specail boards

We have been given a board to manufacture. I'm looking for a raw PCB
Manufacturer that can do square cuts. There are two rectangle cut outs
(.120" x .040"). These are right angle cut outs with pads on both sides and
they need to be plated through. There is another cut out with inside right
angles. The left and the right hand cut outs will have copper to the edge
and need to plated through while the top and the bottom will have not copper
and will not be plated.

A few vendors have said that you can not have "square holes". But I have a
board in my hand from the previous version that has all square right angle
cuts on the board outline as well as a few square holes. This will probably
become a high volume product.

Can anyone recomend a vendor who could make these?

I can send more information if anyone is interested.
