LOL! Once you have mastered soldering galvanized stainless steel sheet
metal with exothermal iron sticks and 50/50 solder and rosin flux,
everything else is easy!
I made that tool box in 7th grade in 1966, gave it to my dad on Father's
Day. He was so impressed with it, he used it for 30 years and actually
deeded it to back to me in his will.
I still have it and I still use it. It was an open box with an overhead
gantry-style handle and fits neatly inside of another tool box. None of
the seams have broken yet.

Sadly, none of this is possible today. The schools would be horrified if
a gas-fired urn were being used. Just think of the liability. And to
think of exposing the students to a solder made of 50% of that dangerous
lead! And we quenched the molten solder with rags soaked in dihydrogen
monoxide! My God, what were we thinking?

Subject: Re: [TN] Hashing-Out Hatching

We have one engineer, an analog kind of guy, who likes to insist
hatching is
better for EMI. He can't say why. But most of our designs are RF,
solid
planes have turned out to be critical. Trying make sure all those
microvias get
a good solid connection, and don't split up the planes, means you need a
small
enough hatch, you might as well make it solid and stop worrying.

Gary brought me back to the days when, just for kicks, I would take
other
guy's designs and remove all of their vias, just to prove I could do it.
I've
gotten help, I'm cured, a thousand vias is nothing anymore. But that
memory
made me feel old until Richard brought up soldering with iron sticks.
