Hi Karen,

We have this same equipment and the best guy we've ever found is Jim Cron
with JWC Manufacturing Services. His phone number is 520-647-7226 or email
at [log in to unmask]

Good luck,

Subject: Re: [TN] Throughhole Equipment Training

Hi Karen!

How expensive is too expensive? Expect to pay anywhere from $75 -125 an
hour plus expenses (plane fare, hotel, rental car, meals) for someone to
come in to train your operators and support personel, AND rebuild your
machines. For budgeting purposes, plan on having someone there for at
least 5-days. Trying to cram that all into just a couple of days,
something is going to suffer, either the training will, or the re-build
will.

Here's a couple of companies you can call:

SMT Technologies, LLC
60 Franklin Ave
Binghamton, New York 13901
Phone: 607-772-2900
Fax: 607-772-2303
e-mail: [log in to unmask]
website: www.smttechnologies.com

Ask for Don Burshnick. He used to build PTH machines for Universal, but
now has his own company. He's pretty busy, but he knows the machines
like the back of his hand.

Another company is:

NEA Inc.
6 George Ave
Londonderry, NH 03053
Phone: 603-669-6080
Toll Free: 1-800-225-1632
Fax: 603-669-7033

I've haven't dealt with them personally, but I've seen a lot of
auto-insertion machines with their sticker on them. They used to support
the machines here before I started. I use Don now.

Subject: [TN] Throughhole Equipment Training

Hi Technetters:

I am looking for someone (or a company if not too expensive) to come to
our facility (preferably on a Friday or weekend) to do some training for
both operators and maintenance personnel on our now obsolete throughhole
equipment:

Universal VCD Axial inserter

Universal MultiMod DIP inserter

Universal Sequencer

We would also be interested in anyone who could rebuild our equipment
onsite (or parts if you are throwing one away!)

Any and all suggestions will be most welcome as we have a peak of thole
work in January and need to get someone up to speed before then!

Thanks,

Karen H.A. Capps
