Brain,

My 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT took a bump to the back end recently as
well!!!  Did you send someone after me?  The electronics and I still
work, however!

103,000+ miles and still going.  The 45-55mpg does well for my 45 mile
[each way commute], although the car is too light-footed for driving
with more than 3-4" of snow on the road.... but then, you probably don't
have to worry much about that do you ....

PS - my Civic beats my brother-in-laws Prius in non-city driving.  He
beats me in city driving [which I do little of].  Each has its
strengths.
