Hi Wasif,

Gary is correct - don't memorize, but read the material. Understand
what's being presented and how to "use" the charts and tables. Mark the
ones you have any questions about and bring that to the class.

If you want to be quizzed before the class, start a study group with
other people from the Designers Council. The Silicon Vally group has
some great people in it who can really help you understand the material.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in San Jose this December! I'll
be there as one of the instructors.

Subject: [DC] CID Certification Study

Hi All,

I am going to give the CID exam this winter. I have a six years
experience in the PCB industry and I am attending the workshop and have
all the training material. I have a few questions.

1. Do i need to memorize all the standards including tables for things
like Conductor thicknesses or current carrying capacity of a conductor
given in IPC-2221A and other standards?
2. Are there any other sample questions besides the 8 questions that are
on the Designers council website?

Thanks in Advance,

Wasif Ali,
