Looking at BS3939 part 1/EN60617/IEC617 it says something along the lines of
The symbols in this standard have been drawn to a size convenient for comprehension etc about matching sizes.
Basically they should be of adequate size for someone to be able to read them clearly.
Now if you have the slightest possibility of someone who is optically challenged looking at them
then it's obvious to make them "big".
I couldn't see a std disagreeing with that as there could be disability discrimination against it - lol.

Subject: [DC] Schematic symbols
Good morning,
does anyone know of a Mil spec, ANSI or IEEE standard that describes
the size of schematic symbols, spacing of symbols, text and so on?
Thanks
