Minitab would perform the statistical analysis for the data (find mean, variance...etc) from there on it's a simple plug and chug to get the capability indices

  We recently commissioned a machining center that is used on a job shop basis for a variety of customer work.

  Does anyone have a recommended procedure for completing a machine  capability study? How about  a recommendation on the SW to input  the data?
