I am sending this message with the explicit blessing of IPC staff.

The Electrochemical Migration Task Group has a time of Wednesday,
October 26th, 8 AM - 12 Noon booked for a meeting at IPC Works. The
committee has published the CAF Test Method; the Guide to go along with
it is complete; the latter has been voted on; accepted and is in the
long, long queue to be published. It may or not see the light of day
before IPC Works.

The Co-Chairs, Karl Sauter and myself, are soliciting presentations on
electrochemical migration or CAF - the former if someone wants to make a
pitch for a new ECM test, the latter if someone wants to champion a new
test board or has significant data to present on method or materials
that they would like to bounce off the committee before you go whole-hog
and write it up as a paper. If there are no takers, we see no reason to
hold a meeting this fall for this committee and will instruct the IPC to
delete the scheduled meeting from the program.

You can respond to me or to one of the other two gentlemen listed in the
cc above. Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Bev Christian, PhD, Manager,
Materials Interconnect Lab
Research In Motion
Co-Chair, Electrochemical Migration Task Group
