Hi Ms Good, Ken, IPC LF Listservers,
I remember that once before in 2004 Ed Burke from Extreme, or Extreme-
EdBurke gave us this information.
What exactly is anyone supposed to do, and when, with this WEEE labeling
requirement. A Dummy's Guide if you please...
YiEngr, MA/NY DDave.
<Yes, there is a separate labeling standard for WEEE.
It is EN 50419 - the copy I have is of the final draft
of the proposed standard, published by BSI, and it is
dated April 2004. I don't know if the document has
become an officially blessed standard yet but that
information could probably be found on websites like
BSI or Global Engineering Documents or CENELEC.
The entire document is 7 pages long, the proposed
symbol looks like a curbside plastic garbage bin with
a big "X" through it.>
