Lead-free components and boards generally are compatible with Sn/Pb
solders, with the possible exception of SAC BGAs. Manufacturers have
been using ENIG and OSP boards and Pd/Ni and other lead-free components
with Sn/Pb solders for many years and I have never seen a reliability
issue reported on this type of intermix.

One question in this 63/37 debate:

Will the components and boards go to lead free finishes so that 63/37
solder
will no longer be compatible for assembling the parts? Obsolesence by
incompatibility?
