Hi Stuart!
The quick response, YES.

A couple of concerns:
How are you sure you are removing the foreign object and not just
lodging it under nearby parts.

But more importantly, and to address your specific question, we would
do this sort of thing with an ionizing air blower - not a regular
compressed air feed.
