We had an expression in chemistry, that "Like dissolves like", so you are
correct, Naphtha does an excellent job on pure organics, much less of a job on
organo-metallics, (which I suspect are one of the lurking nightmares in
electronics) and of course, ignores inorganic salts..
So, you probably have lots of "lurkers"...
