In the early to mid '80's did a thing with the Air Force out in CA. Called
in to explain how to rework/repair/modify, with emphasis on REWORK, then
.050" pitch stuff. I told them you couldn't yet. They didn't like it so we
set about to design a REWORK plan. Still couldn't do it and the Force, be
with you, said they'd scrap the boards in favor of new designs.

History repeats again but what really matters? Is performance and
reliability the key issue or rework?
