Hi Ramon
If you want to use a spray gun, by it's nature it is going to atomize the coating material, otherwise it wouldn't be a spray. There are non atomized options - curtain coaters, and Asymtek's swirl coat process, but as far as I know those aren't useable in a hand application technique.

As for a gun that sprays pure coating (unthinned), it will depend on what the coating is - what the viscosity is - but should not be a problem. We use Binks spray guns, originally the standard guns but in recent years the HVLP spray guns, and with both you can change the nozzle to accommodate different viscosity materials.

As for clogs and the number of parts, the HVLP gun has a few more parts than the older ones, but I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff since they waste less material.

My question is about conformal coating. We want to manualy
conformal coat boards using a spray gun. Does anybody have knowledge of a
gun that sprays pure coating without any atomization of the coating and that
internally have very few parts, in case it clogs, and needs to be
cleaned.
        Regards,
        Ramon
