Folks,

Before I go down the reliability test road, using HALT/HAST, I woulld ask if
data or information exists in industry, as IPC or other, clearly correlating
design rule selections (BGA pad sizes, etc., manufacturing processes, etc.)
to that data? Most large companies in this business, as you all know,
continually develop this data and have clear evidence that if you use a
certain design rule and introduce the design to a certain process, a certain
product reliability factor will be realized.

Does the IPC, through its committee work and round robin testing, have such
data available? Seems like I know the answer, but may never have bothered to
ask before. This data must be available as the IPC could never have
developed its guidelines without it, right?

A little fuzzy after a rather interesting night out of my cave,

MoonMan
